How do feel about getting a lower perspective on this shot? (Maybe, camera close to ground level.) I think it would be extraordinary. Just a thought. Xochi2

As we were driving down from Omaha early yesterday I kept wanting to stop and take pictures because it was one of those mornings with extremely heavy fog and freezing temps. No actual rain or snow but everything was covered in frozen snow. Darrell

The weathermen were calling it "freezing fog" which I've never heard them use before. Sony A7riii, 16-35, 24-70 2.8 GM, 85 f/1.8, 100-400 GM

I've known the term for as long as I can remember. It's something bad in aviation; FZFG. Freezes really well on the airframe. But it makes for nice pictures of hoar frost.

When I took this shot, the surface was a mix of ice and water, thus the different shadings. I think the camera was about 12-15 inches from the ground. (Crouching stance.)
