I live life at home vicariously through your photos. Im from KC, in the military and have been living in NC since 2000. Its just not the same haha

I'm actually a little jealous... I love looking at some of the shots from the 9/10 stop ND thread, but we don't have any places that I've found that I think would get me any really great shots yet. NC has piers, while we have docks that move with the water!

I have a few things I want to try sometime... If I can get a nice windy day and some time off...

Thanks for all that you do! I've always wanted to visit North Carolina and in particular the Outer Banks. Take care.

Thanks Mike. The only people that we saw when there were joggers. They have a tendency to freak you out if you do not see them coming.
Here is a view looking upstream at the Hannibal railroad bridge and the Broadway bridge.

Nice lighting Dale. Looks so crisp.

+1. That is really nicely composed, Dale. The foreground element really draws the eye into the frame.

I just ordered a Lee Big Stopper from 2filter.com and I'm looking forward to motion-blurring the Mighty MO in broad daylight. :)

At this time of year.... B&W

Maybe in the spring, color would be good. Or if you have actual fall color (leaves)...

I like that one Mike... a lot!

I think it would be good in color or b&w... maybe more if you upped the contrast even?

And maybe played around with lomo or do some vintage stuff with the color?

Really like the composition though....

OFF Topic... Dale, Tim Ernst was in Springfield this weekend. He gave a talk (as he does each year I understand) at the nature center here. He did a slide show of his new book. Very nice work. It reminded me of the trip you do each year into Arkansas.

I love Tim's work. He is the one that got me back interested in photography. One year he came to Blue Springs and gave his presentation at Burr Oaks Conservation Center. After the show I signed up for one of this workshops. I have since been to 3 more of his workshops and made the trip to Springfield year for his slideshow. That is as far north as he ventures for the shows these days. He is a very interesting person and a great photographer. Glad you got the chance to see him.
