I bought a 60D kit November, 2010. And that's where it all started...oh, and this website.

Since Halloween 2011, I have bought:

Canon 5d Mark II and a RRS L Plate
RRS L Plate for 60D
EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM
Gitzo GT2542l Carbon Fiber Tripod with RRS BH-40 LRII
Gitzo GM2541 Carbon-Fiber Monopod with RRS Head and B2-Pro/L clamp
Think Tank Airport International v.2

It's been a good year. I didn't list all the other stuff I have bought and sold throughout this past year....it exhaustive and in my signature.

I would like to thank all of you for my new obsession.

Anytime :p

This site is bad for gear lust, for sure... But I enjoy the constant gear-swapping and such. I like to try out new things all the time.

I have been doing it less and less though... My kit has become "stable", with less desire to swap anything around. What I have does almost everything I need. So I have been comfortable :p

This past year I think I have used/owned... 5D, 300 f/4L, 400 f/5.6L, 85L, 17-40L,10-22 (with my ex-7D)... I think that may be it. Survival of the fittest!

Bleh, stupid site, made me buy more expensive lenses :)

On the other hand i've learned about composition, lighting, and other concepts which hopefully improved my photography without costing anything more than some time.

I really don't think I will need much more, if any than what I have. If I start getting more specialized, then hey, why not? Right now, its for family functions, car shows (freelance for magazines) and kids programs and the like. Oh, I forgot one thing off the list. I bought a new Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM. I've heard worlds about them, why not try it.

Yep. Techniques and know how definitely a free boon from this website!

You moved quick!
I started back in November 2009 with a T1i kit and a 55-250.
Summer of 2010 I picked up a Sigma 30 1.4 then a 24-70L around November 2010.
This May, I sold my entire T1i kit and bought a 60D and bought the Tokina 11-16.
Recently, I purchased the 70-200 IS II because it was a steal.
Now I'm completely broke.
Oh and did I mention that I'm a college student doing this as a hobby? :P

At least you're buying top-quality stuff right off the bat. This will save you money in the long run!

My wife is getting a GoPro for X-mas. I ordered an intervelometer for myself just, you know, to ship it together.

I've not indulged much this year. I'm still hurting from last year....

I think the intervelometer and lee foundation kit are all I've bought this year. I'll probably get some filters soon though.

Of course, things worked out where I could get this stuff. I have not come close to maxing out the abilities of the 60D and the 17-55 I still have. Just a great combo for almost anything. Almost.

Bazinga....you have a list of some nice additions going on in here, too! Very well thought out and written!
