I am shooting a destination wedding this weekend solo in the Bahamas and I am considering renting some gear tonight for the event.
Right now I own a 7D with a 24-105L and 135L.
I am thinking about renting a 5D and 24L for low light and wide angle shots.
I will also be using a glidecam for specialty shots.
Do you all have any other suggestions or will the 5D and 24L be sufficient?

Having a second camera is very useful as it gives scope for cutting to so you can relocate your main camera. The trick is to locate the second camera so the content is sufficiently dynamic so that it doesn't look like you have used the same shot over and over.

Don't assume the static camera is going to be a wide. It might give you more mileage tight on the couples faces and you might want to work either camera to keep it dynamic.

You do have a tripod for the second camera obviously?

What are you doing for audio? The on camera mics ain't gonna cut it.

Thanks for the reply.
I do have a couple of tripods, monopods and glidecam.
For audio, I have a H1 with Rode VideoMic and I just ordered a set of Audio-Technica ATR-3350. I plan on picking up another H1 to plug the lav mic into.
I think this will do for now for the audio. Unfortunately my partner had his H4N and Sennheisser Wireless mic setup stolen.

The reason why I am concerned with a fast wide prime is because with my lens setup on the 7D, my 24-105L will be 168mm Equivalent on the longside, the 135L will be a 216mm and I just bought the 55-250mm for situations in which the lighting permits.
When needed, I do have a D300s that I can use, but I hope to use this a little as possible.

I see where you are coming from. I have resurrected my Sigma 17-38 for that very reason. Fortunately it does seem to achieve some level of focus at the short end.

Gear wise, it is better to have too many toys than not enough. If you have something there you can use it. You can't if you haven't.
