Glidecam Pro 2000 or 4000 for 5DMII?

Hiya Guys! looking to film my first engagement session, I was wondering which Glidecam pro version will suit me better. I will be shooting majority of this film with a 35 1.4 and possibly 85 1.4.

I heard 4000 is an overkill for DSLR's, but of course, I have no real clue, hope you guys can put your 02 cents.

Honestly I think the PRO 2000 or HD 1000 should be good with the equipment you mention. But even if you were to add a light like the Z96 or mic you'll still be fine.

You might want to check into the Flycam series (both Nano and DSLR versions). I just got the Flycam Nano (newest version with adjustment knob) used for dirt cheap $80, and couldn't be happier. It's the cheap alternative to the Glidecam HD 1000. YES it's true that it's a pain to balance at first, but now that I have figured out I'm sure I can get it balanced well under 20 minutes. They're rated at only about a pound and a half, but I've seen setups work just fine with the 5D II plus the behemoth 16-35 f/2.8 (about 3+ pounds total.)

Here it is trying to balance with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8, not an ideal lens for flying.

The Glidecam 2000 is perfect for the camera and I've seen great professional footage using the 4000.

I just ordered a glidecam 2000 pro for my gripped 7D. I think it should hold up well. I also got a manfrotto quick release plate for it.

I got the same one you got for my 5D2 but its hard ass hell just to try and balance it! Till this day I can't even balance it.
