Hi,

I just bought a lens from Adorama along with a 3 yr extended warranty.

Being that I live in Canada, will Canon honor this extended warranty?

I don't know about the extended warranty, but the limited warranty for the 15-85 I bought from B&H a couple weeks ago is quite clearly valid for both the USA and Canada.

also, when I bought my 50D from Henry's in Canada,I called Canon first to ask about the warranty, and Canon warranty is good for Canadian purchased products for USA residents as well, but I did'nt buy an extended warranty.

I assume the extended warranty would be the same, but you should call adorama to be sure.

you actually bought the extended warranty from adorama , not canon, right ?

I've bought a few items from B&H. The warranty cards clearly state that the warranty is valid in USA and CAN. I didn't buy any extended warranties (I don't believe in extended warranties) so I can't comment on that.

Hi,

Yes, the extended warranty is from Adorama (I believe it says "Mack 3 yr Pro warranty" on the invoice).

Cheers

I got the Mack warranty for a couple of lenses of mine. I believe that the warranty is for service by Mack, not Canon.

Within the first year, I'd look to Canon for repairs - if they are needed.
If a lens goes bad after that, I'd look to Mack.
I have found that different vendors have different prices for the same service contract from Mack. It pays to check around.
