One of my local "haunts" is Lake Yosemite here in Merced, CA. I photographed the Lunar Eclipse that morning and came back for the moon rise. Forgot the best time was the day before the full moon, so I didn't get any moon shots. Got some nice pastel colors though. The "dirt" in the skyline on the first one are birds.

i love the colors.

for those who don't know, this lake isn't actually in yosemite. although beautiful, it's quite a ways away from yosemite.

Canon 5D3, Canon XTI (IR converted), 24-70 f2.8L, 16-35 f4L, 50 1.4, 70-200 f2.8L, 100 2.8 macro, 430 ex & 580 exII speedlights.

Yeah, that is definitely NOT in Yosemite...LOL!
