Great shots! What lens were you using and how far away were you?

Thanks, 70-200 2.8 non IS. These were shot typically from about 40-50 feet. The close-up of the face was the only time I got a little worried, but about 5 seconds into it it was obvious he was just walking to his next feeding ground. Got others from a safer distance :)

I surprised him, (and me). I knew they were in the area, but he was right next to the creek, and at first I thought it was a coyote, only saw a few inches of back fur. Then he lifted his head. I just slowly walked backwards while he slowly followed :) Came across more people in about 30 feet and warned them. They said they "saw him there" ( thanks for the warning lol).
It was pretty cool though. We still don't really have any snow out here :( and this was in Septemberish, so they are still active, and they eat the kokanee salmon so they are fattening up for hibernation.
