I don't have a 60D to check, but many cameras have semi-transparent mirrors. Are you sure that's not what you are seeing?

If in fact there is a speck of something on there, it really will do no harm. It's just a nuisance. The mirror flips up out of the way whenever the shutter is open for an exposure, so it won't show up in any photos.

If it just plain bugs you, you might ask to exchange the camera with the retailer... or have it cleaned. You can clean it yourself, but I really don't recommend inexperienced people do that. It's a bit risky because the mirror and the focus screen right above it are relatively delicate and easily damaged. It's easy to make things worse and end up with an expensive repair bill.

A blower, such as you've tried, is usually the safest thing to try yourself, and then have the camera professionally cleaned occasionally.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it won't affect your photo. If it is something that looks like it could fall off into the guts of your camera, I might have the store send it for a cleaning, but otherwise...

It wont do anything... It is on the mirror. The mirror just shows you what your lens see through the viewfinder.

Has nothing at all to do with your final image. It will never ever show up on a photo.

Take a lens microfiber towel, wrap it around a qtip tightly, and then gently brush/dab at the speck with the tip. Most likely you will dislodge it, and you can then use the blower to remove it the rest of the way. Do you see it on the mirror, or could it be on your focus screen? I would blast some air across the focus screen as well.

There should be no spots on the mirror at all. However there could be etchings on the focusing screen to accentuate the AF indicators.

Make sure it's not a reflection from the focusing screen...you know it being a mirror and all.

I went to the shop today morning
They brought to me many new boxes for the 60D
First one there is two spot in the mirror
But there is nothing in the viewfinder

Second one no spots in the mirror it seems a clear mirror
But when i look in the viewfinder i saw two spots one dark and one light

When i show them my cam they saw the spot in the middle of the mirror
But there is nothing in the viewfinder

So i told them i will keep mine because there is nothing in my viewfinder
Thanks
