Preflight Walk Around at SFO

Whenever there is water on the ramp I carry my camera for the preflight walk around. A wet ramp makes for good photos -- kind of like a car commercial. For this photo I got extra lucky. It was early morning, just after sunrise, and an all night rain storm was clearing out. The words, "Clearing Winter Storm (external link)" should ring a bell in any photographer's head.

I camped out under the airbus 320's tail and waited. I needed another plane in the frame to complete the composition. A few minutes later a Skywest CRJ-700 taxied by. Click. My picture was complete.

That's a very nice shot. Good work.

A wet ramp makes for good photos -- kind of like a car commercial.

And you didn't have to pay for a water truck!
