In the paper on Oahu they have noted that it is one of the best seasons for whales there. I did get to see some off shore.
Enjoy your trip and tell Skip that Lowell still hasn't used it.

Yes, February-March are the peak whale months so we are hoping to get a few lucky shots. Even if we don't just being out there on the water & watching them breach & frolic is always amazing.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Been a while since I posted. And Hawaii 5-0 actually filmed in my neighborhood last night and today. They were shooting from a ~6 story building and had a crane. I saw a few actors jump from the top and use the crane to lower them. Skydiving is probably a bigger thrill (one of my faves). But here are a few from the island of Oahu. If you're around get a hold of me and I can show you a few things (except you Rader).

Had a 6D....
Then had a daughter....
Now have an SL2 and Mavic Pro.... Man life changes.
I would encourage you... To just go for it.
