it's odd, nice place and close to the beach hustle and bustle at ala moana. don't know why more people don't go there.

Its away from the popular tourist I guess :P

Everyone is usually over at Waikiki Beach. I think the water isn't as calm there either if I recall the waves were quite harsh compared to Waikiki Beach. Not much of a breaker ridge out there to calm the water down.

I'm surprised more people don't post more photos of Haunauma Bay in here. That is a beautiful place and it's always been packed when we went.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Lovely beach.
Please keep the image size a little bigger so we can enjoy more.
Also never underestimate power these P&Ss.

that is true that the water is not calm at kaka'ako park and is also not beach friendly. i guess thats why there's not much people there because they cant enjoy sitting or laying out in the sand getting some sun and going in the water. its mostly rock/boulder wall around. i was not able to explore or spend much time at the park but its a nice park for walks and really good if you dont want to get your feet covered in sand ;p

A shot from our balcony, Waikiki beach hotel, people having "breakfast on the beach" as the hotel called it. Really enjoyed staying here.
Also, a shot from the North Shore and one of the shrimp trucks by the roadside. Excellent shrimp scampi, must go again...:D
Did I tell you yet, I love Hawaii!

Is this Giovanni's truck? (external link)
I can't see my signature on his truck but am sure to find it next time there.

This is the best Shrimp you can find anywhere on planet earth. And if anyone is heading Haleiwa, do yourself a favor and order one of every 3 kinds of shrimps these guys sell. This by itself is a good reason to go back to Oahu's northern shore.
