Actually going to Downtown and Waikiki during rush hour is not an issue as you are going against the traffic. Take the Nimitz Highway and you should be fine. Avoid H1 as much as possible.
Of course, other neighboring islands don't seem to have this issue. I was able to drive from Poipu to Hanalei Bay to catch a sunset without any issue. Can't do that in Oahu.

Permanent ban

No car is way to go if you do WB Oahu area.
Hotel parking fees up to $60 per day.
Walk, Bus, etc.
Oahu is getting 100000 visitors per week, Maui 30000, Big Island and .... 10000.

I've learned that working with the negatives can make for better pictures...
Canon XTi with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Looking to upgrade to a Canon T4i gripped. Offers welcomed.

I know the quality is not great in some of these, but I sure enjoyed taking them...I will get better. The panoramics were taken handheld(didn't take my tripod all the way from Texas to Hawaii), so I think they turned out pretty nice considering. Anyway...love that place.
