This one is a bit abstract, featuring the northern lights and jupiter. I liked the surreal look but i was originally trying to get a 360 panorama of the area and instead came up short by a few dozen degrees. The stitch was really brutal too, so many frames, mega lag. I thought it was kinda cool all the same and worth sharing.

Pine Lake Road, Near Lake Grosbeak, Wood Buffalo National Park, South Slave Region, Northwest Territories, Canada
I walked a little way away from the truck and found myself fascinated by the winding bends in the road I had just driven. The aurora was beginning to glaze over the heavens and the stars were bright here. I started off at Jupiter, which is the big white blob above the truck. From there I moved the camera 10-15 degrees at a time right around, vertically orientated, till I had consumed the entire scape all the way back to Jupiter & the truck.
I thought for a long time about what I wanted this print to represent. What does it say about the region, let alone myself, and why should I offer it to the world to be owned, to be enjoyed and printed at a stunning size ? Well, for one thing I feel it does a good job of showcasing just how long and boring our highways can be! ....(just kidding)
But really; The perspective shown in this unique panorama stitch is what intrigued me.The further I journey away from the city lifestyle, amenities and technology of the South; the more I realize the journey I'm taking is much more than a trek into the backwoods. It is an introspective adventure. The truck faces is in the South, and the winding road aptly flows North.
