There seem to exist 2 types of the Maxilite ... one with silver and one with white color inside. I would be interested in the different results.

Either theres a problem with the photos of the item, or you may be refering to the Maxi Spot, which is a completely different light modifier albeit similar looking in shape.

the only problem i see is people thinking the maxilite is a beauty dish, which does come in white

not 100% certain, but it's probably due to AB offering silver and white beauty dishes that is causing the confusion ;)

You can't pawn ALL of the world's problems on AB Martin, but you can surely try! lol!

MaxiSpot:

MaxiLite:

The difference is about 2$ worth, and one is a long throw focussed beam, and the other a 45degree spread, tighter then most reflector but not meant for long range spotting. It doesn't help that B&H's photo of a maxispot seems to be from a well used one.

The difference is, you can put a truckload of AB dishes on top of a Fireball and it will still be fine, but if you put one Fireball on top of an AB dish, it will collapse.

Yeah, true, I mixed MaxiLite and MaxiSpot ... forgive me, om shanti ...
Ordered the MaxiLite now and am super curious. Need to learn more about small light modifiers to get healed from my big softbox addiction ...

No idea who om shanti is, but you can call me Case, and you're forgiven.
