You guys do realize that you can just drill out the rivets for the Eli speedring on the maxilite and replace it with one for your own brand, right? I have a Profoto mount on mine, no adapter needed. I used 1/2" screws to install it rather than rivets.

Yes we know that was already covered in this thread years ago.

Yes I read that earlier in previous pages, but thanks for reminding me. That's actually what I spent my Friday doing. The adaptor from China will be delivered after my photo shoot, so I decided to use one of my strip box rings and use the S adaptor on the Maxi. I didn't have all the tools but it eventually went well. No excuses now not to use it

PS: The exif data for the image is quite interesting. It says I used a 10-24 at 58mm!

These Pics qualify for the thread. You used a Maxlite in it. :-)

The only photos that really count in this tread are shots of you wearing the fireball. We need to bring that tradition back.

Yes, bring it back. I need to get another one with my cat wearing the fireball.

Which profoto speedring did you use?

If I remember right, I just stole one off of a speedring that I wasn't using. It's a Plume, I believe.

It's a dang fine modifier. Let's see some images once you get it.

I took mine out in direct sun with a borrowed Vagabond a few weeks ago. Need to finish processing those images and get some posted.

(not as good as abaddon's but I'm OK with them for my first time out, first time competing with direct sun).
