I shot my first HS boys basketball game last night. First half I used the 70-200 2.8 and the second half I used the 50 1.8 - mainly because I had to sit directly under the basket because the cheerleaders were positioned on either side of the basket and I didn't want to take a kick to the back of the head.
I was worried about the slow focus of the 50, but was a little surprised at how well it actually did. I'm hoping to get the 85 1.8 here soon. These shots are all with the 50. My settings were f/1.8, 1/640, ISO 1600. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
