The 7D is capable of very sharp images
The 7D is capable of very sharp images but, with all DSLR imagery, you need post processing including a bit of sharpening.
Here are a couple of shots of from the 7D using a 70-200mm f/4L IS and lit by a single 430EX flash bounced with a Joe Demb Flash Diffuser Pro http://www.dembflashproducts.com/diffuser/
. I used the 7D right out of the box with its default settings. There are so many different auto focus settings fro the 7D that sometimes adjusting for one type of venue will degrade the AF in other venues...
However, there is still the possibility that your camera, lens or technique might be at fault...
