I only get to shoot the oval ball sport a couple of times a season, so I'm usually totally bamboozled by it! I tried to make the most of a flying visit to cover a match this afternoon, but it's far removed from shooting football. I need a whole lot more practice!

Oooooh... that's high...

Cheers Dave... I think I could enjoy shooting this egg handling sport... They need to change their kick-off times to avoid clashing with the footie!

Gavin,

Tried some [rugby] sports shooting myself today for the first time and was certainly less successful than you [nice pics].

What focal length lens were you using ?

Thanks

So, is there a reason for this game other than pain ... caused by mates and defenders equally it looks. They certainly don't keep themelves pristine like the perfect sport. Very nice, Gavin ... I am going to have to take some Advil just from looking! :-)

The thing I like about european club sports is the colour in the uniforms... to shoot these sports here they are all at the university level and they have very monochromatic stuff on - less interesting. That said, the action you caught is brilliant, regardless of colours they are wearing... cheers
