A friend and I travelled to The Devil's Backbone, Loveland, Colorado to view the full moon the evening/morning of the total eclipse. From this vantage we knew that the total eclipse would elude us as the mountains to the west would block the eclipse totality, but we didn't feel like driving 8 hours and we thought the area may bring some treasured shots anyway.

After a few minute hike we rounded the corner to this view

I hiked to the keyhole and was disappointed that I could see all the houses in my shots.

You hit a gold mine with this series of photos. They are all beautiful but #1 is my favorite.
