I like the second view. Did you use the Nikon 14-24? :)

I think I prefer the second as well. I really like the sky and the foreground in the first, but the mountain looks a little off (possibly too light), so it looks unnatural to me. The second is better in that regard. Both nice shots though.

Yes, I definitely like the second one better. The foreground color of the cactus and ground didn't look as good as I thought they could in the first image

It's unanimous then ;). I'm getting less enamoured with HDR except when the situation requires it (high contrast, i.e. canyons).

I prefer the 2nd one. The mountains look too light to match the sky in the first, almost looks like the sky was pasted in or something. Pretty intense clouds though.

Stunning both ways. GIANT KUDOS.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

Right, Marcy. Shot taken Dec. 16 @ about 6:45 am. Taken about a mile off the Bee Line (Hwy 87) on Four Peaks RD.

That is AWESOME! WOW... the colors are amazing as is the color in the sky next to the white snow on the mountains... very cool shot.

Where is 4 Peaks? I'm in the Phoenix area.. but have never been there. :)
