Better? Still needs some work, but the exposure is down a bit, and a little more even overall.

That looks a bit better i just wished you guys would have turned around if possible for the shot or gone under some shade. :(

I would clone out that purple flare spot that looks to be right in between the two men in the middle. It is very distracting. Other than that i would try and go for a warmed up look. (I know it is a fad going around) but for this shot with the terrible sky and almost flat like color i would just do it. It should improve the overall image more. Then i would drop in some vignette at the edges. Enough to just draw the attention in and remove it from the blow outs in the sky. I know it is heavy PP but im just trying to give you another take on the image.

Actually use this image for the PP process i described up top. It would work much better. Or if you can get the PP of the above image to match this (since in the above shot the baby is smiling). Then do my PP suggestion on top of it.

Yeah, I hear you guys on the east coast are about to get hit by some serious cold weather. On Tuesday it's going to be a high of 57F here--it's bee in the 70s the last week

It's freezing here today. I'm still waiting for snow though.

Why do people who advise using good grammar use bad grammar?

I would definitely want you to be "apart of my business," and not "a part of my business."

Overall, however, this is good advice, in almost every instance.

I know, I will be inundated with "this is only an online forum, so grammar and spelling doesn't matter" replies.

But it does matter! Bad grammar and spelling demonstrates that you don't care about the reader, only about yourself.

And I, personally, know of several cases where professionals (lawyers) were not hired because they used bad grammar in their personal communications on line.

No one can see you on the internet. Therefore, you are what you type. I you type crap, well....

I can't say I'm the epitome of a person who types good grammar. Actually mine sucks. I just try to get by with what I know.

I always have other people proofread my work so it doesn't absolutely suck. I do however try to type like a human being online so I don't sound like a complete idiot.

Nice Omar :)

Ol' Ansel would often wait days to get just the right lighting. And he was shooting B&W! Of course, none of his pictures were really worth anything....

exactly what I told my friends who were with me in the Grand Tetons, I asked if we can wake up early so I can shoot under lighting conditions like Ansel and they said no, they would rather head home to Las Vegas than trek back for an hour from Jackson hole, adding to our already long trip home....Ansel and Peter Lik also trek up the hills to get good vantage point, Ansel used a box 8x10 camera that can correct distortions more than the tilt lens, the camera front and back can move up/down, left right, parallel and skew...

after taking the vantage point and waiting fro the lights, composition is next item to tangle. Justin gets good landscape photos that he sells, because he uses variety of lenses, low angle, focal points etc, plus long exposures to show water movement...Steven try to get good composition too, but mostly rely on the great colors of sunset and sunrise in the tropics...

Rules of thirds and S curves are two composition guides:

You're welcome :) I guess I'll be visiting that today! I saw it as I was walking down 5th ave (or 6th I forget) on Friday. I was going to take a pic except there were MASSIVE amounts of people there, I mean I was literally pushing my way through people.

It is ALMOST always like that. Although i have been down there at around 5:30am and it is empty! It is a very odd feeling being in a place that is usually packed to death and barely having a soul around!

Well we have some that are in the shade, but almost all of them are unusable either because the shade we had wasn't solid so you would get blown out spots, we looked at turning around but the shadows on the faces were very harsh so that didn't work. There was one spot that it was pretty good, but none of the pictures work and we had quite a few. Everytime the baby would move my sisters would look over at it, so that took half the pictures out of the running, or someone's head was hidden behind someone elses.

Ok Omar. I can go more extreme with the vignette, although I took some of the brightness out of the sky with some graduated filters as well.
