Hey Omar.

Today is going to suck... First day of work since December 22nd... I wish I was still sleeping.

Sounds like my GF she just went back yesterday after having the same amounts of day off. Tough to get back into it.

Yeah... I need a few days of real vacation... running around doing things with the family isn't exactly relaxing.

So first purchase of 2012 will be a new wheelset. Looking to knock off between 500-600 grams of my current 1800-1900 gram set  (only good thing about the heavier set is the added weight has made for good exercise ) I've already inquired about possibilities on custom builds and it is looking good :)

You can "rest" at work. Heh.

The long weekend allowed me to finish Uncharted 3. Best of the trilogy! Second goes to UC1. Last place to UC2. That one seemed rushed and unpolished. They really need to make the movie for this. ;)

Let me know what you do.

I'm still tempted by those Ksyrium elites... they are about 200 grams lighter than my current setup.

Told you it was good! Second parts to a series always are crap. We know it is not the start and it is not the ending but the series as a whole wouldn't be as good without the middle. Kind of like a sandwich

Def will let you know. I have looked at the elites as well since im budgeting around 1k for this set. Will come down to what i can get on the custom end vs what is out there now. So far it is looking very interesting.

Yeah.. You can get some good prebuilts for 1k, I haven't looked much into custom.

I think custom is better for weight/$, although at around 1k I think I would go with Reynold DV3k's and go aero.

Here is what this looks like. Almost all of these prices are retail so i can shave off a good portion of that price (which would then be reinvested into paying the builder).

The rim i selected if you look it up has a wider base. Allowing for almost tubular like ride experience with clinchers. So here i get a bomb proof aluminum set of wheels i can go out there and go to work with. For now im going to avoid carbon wheels then with my next bike down the road ill look into it.
