Amazon is $5 cheaper and has faster shipping... but ordering stuff like that where there are counterfeits out there always makes me nervous.

My grip came with 2 batteries. They seem to last longer than my original. So I have 3 total and just rotate them. Having 4 I think would be ideal. Have 2 in the grip and then 2 more pre-charged and ready to go. The grip can run one just 1 battery or the AA cage in a pinch too.

Same here when i bought the knock off on my xsi. Came with two generic batteries and they worked really well!

I think what Tony meant is that if you shoot more often than not in portrait mode it would behoove you to have a grip.

We can start with blue label at home, the venue is 6 miles from my home.

Correct like in red carpets, the grip makes holding the camera natural.

Yup. If i was say on vacation then two batteries would be in there. Like i did on my all day excursion in exuma, bahamas. But for 90% of your shooting odds are one would suffice. Unless you do events all the time then this is a mute conversation

Yeah, I have two now, worst case when I actually start shooting some sports I take some AA batteries and the tray along as an emergency backup, and then buy a third battery if I need it.

Well you don't NEED one. I've done quite a bit of portrait stuff for work without a grip...

It sure would be nice to have one though.

Heh. Every now and then I still do the "chicken wing" even with the grip. Probably cuz I'm rushed or an old habbit when shooting portrait sans grip.
