But when i speak to my friends about an STI the default thought is Impreza. That is where my mind was ![]() Well consider the fact that when I was working for Subaru the STi was considered a stand alone model. No one ever called it the Impreza STi, it was just the STi and everyone knew what model you were talking about. Melody

Here in the US, because my wife's family are in bumsville, NY, practically in Canada, with all the lovely lake effect snow and cold temps, reliability is the key. You just cannot, absolutely cannot beat a toyota. 4WD when needed and starts 1st time, every time, even in -30C weather. Does what we need it to do. Is Bumsville anywhere near Backlik or Shortpump? They were both towns off one of the interstates we travelled up on the East Coast and we just looked at each other and laughed. Where do the get these names from? - appolgies to anybody who may live in those towns Lloyd

More info | Jan 17, 2012 22:17 | #6683 L.J.G. wrote in post #13723176 I had both the front and rear diff pack in before it was 6 months old, that and a litany of other issues that annoyed the daylights out of me. Even a dealer admitted it was a lemon. You buy a brand new car off the showroom floor it should be trouble free. Both my latest new one and my wifes new one have had zero issues since we picked them up, which is exactly how it should be. Lemon cars are nightmares for the dealership too. We call them "Monday or Friday" cars. I agree, a brand new vehicle should be trouble free, but one must remember that they are built in factories on assembly lines. I've been in some of the factories here in Canada, I can only imagine what the ones in Mexico are like. Melody

If you thought spelling and maths were bad for Jake, forget Physics and the notion of hp:kg ratio... He needs big numbers like he needs a 100000000 MP camera. Doesn't mean ****, but mum will still get it for him

Chet showed up to keep the place interesting More info | Jan 17, 2012 22:19 | #6687 Jill how do you disable the anti-theft on an Expedition. That thing has plagued us for 5 years and I got another call tonight from the boss saying the car starts and dies and the anti theft light just flashes. You know I'm sure a car thief could get the thing running, but we have troubles in cold weather.

You buy local to keep local jobs and get bent over the table for your trouble. I take it the Mexican ones leave a bit to be desired? Lloyd
