Jill how do you disable the anti-theft on an Expedition. That thing has plagued us for 5 years and I got another call tonight from the boss saying the car starts and dies and the anti theft light just flashes. You know I'm sure a car thief could get the thing running, but we have troubles in cold weather.

Sell it

LOL! They are that bad eh? My parent's Odyssey was made in Canada. Both mine and my wife's car are made in Japan, any idea how the factories there are like?

Well consider the fact that anything that is shipped over from Japan automatically has to be acid washed to remove the fall-out damage on the paint. And they spend the whole trip on the ship being exposed to salt air.

If you thought spelling and maths were bad for Jake, forget Physics and the notion of hp:kg ratio... He needs big numbers like he needs a 100000000 MP camera. Doesn't mean ****, but mum will still get it for him :D

I agree. :)

Won't happen, our company is broke and can't replace it.

I'd have to look it up, but not tonight, it's bedtime.

I told him to abandon it, which just means I have to deal with it in the morning.

Thats the base BRZ, no specs on the STI version yet really (as far as I know). Also the BRZ weighs 700 pounds less than the Impreza WRX STI.

jdizzle wrote in post #13723207 (external link)
For a car in that weight class, it's plenty.

My Ford was made in Australia so it really disappointed me. You buy local to keep local jobs and get bent over the table for your trouble. I take it the Mexican ones leave a bit to be desired?

Not sure I get this "buy local" crap.

Ford is a US company. Toyota is a Japanese company etc.

They are given massive, absolutely massive tax breaks to "build" cars in countries, like Australia, the US etc. The money all goes back to the shareholders. Hardly any $$$ stays in the country you say "we're trying to keep things going in our economy". As soon as the tax break is over, adios...move to another state/country.

It isn't really based on the cars that sell (but helps out a lot!), but when the tax breaks end.
