Exactly my thinking...

If it was some really creative take on something, and someone knowingly duplicated it to save paying royalties one something, well ok then. But.. in this case, they are sort of generic.

some places even have a marked spot for you to take the same image

Depends what the specs look like. If nikon comes out with a D800 at 16mp that would be excellent! Video for me is not a deal breaker. For me it is IQ.

That would be difficult. The sigma was a birthday present from Mayra. She has already said if i switch i can sell it. For her it is more important i have what i need to keep shooting. I would rebuy it on the nikon side but not sure i would sell the canon. Just keep it as a sentimental item.

Yeah, but that's a pro body.

I still think you've been right for the past few months. The pro bodies will focus on IQ and stay reasonable on MP, while the "entry" level FF's will go MP crazy.
