Here's some shots from me from a cold but dry ;) Croft on Saturday.

It was really nice to get some autumn sunshine for a change, and the wind also calmed down from the near gales we'd been having in the run up to the event. The track was pretty wet to begin with when the Formula Renaults went out.

It was a bit disappointing that there was not many Saloon Cars out racing, and of the nine that started, most fell by the wayside. Here's DDMC and NSSCC regular (and one of my target cars) Terry Wright

Another of the Saloon Cars, this time a Mondeo getting sideways at Tower.

We've not had many Ginettas on display from the threads on the Winter Series so far, so here's a selection

This guy was the class of the field, with only mechanical problems in the last race of the day preventing him from taking a clean sweep

ITV F1 pundit Tony Jardine - the image is straight from the camera, but I would have preferred it to be a little looser on the cropping.

And my nomination for best 'game face' of the day goes to this Spitfire driver!

and finally, one more from the Formula Renaults.

Apologies for the long post, but this is my last circuit meeting of the year:( . Still, there's 4 rallies to go now before the end of the year!

Any comments or feedback appreciared.

Cheers,

Simon.

Fantastic work Simon. You've really made the most of the low sun and side-lighting... #2 in particular floats my boat!

 . Nice one Ken. At least my identity is safe as I'm the one with my back to the camera;) .

Shame that Spitfore went off. He was one of the first cars through Sunny after the Porsche lunched itself. The oil caused him to understeer onto the grass and from there on in he was a passenger. He was not a happy chappie.

Cheers,

Simon.

As always Simon - an awesome set of images. My personal favourite is #6 - David Cove. It has a dynamic to it from the attitude of the car.

Nice to meet you

Best wishes

Thanks Gavin:) - I appreciate your comments.

The light was excellent and quite constant for a large part of the day. Mind you, even though it is late Autumn, the sun was still quite strong. It was nice to be able to get the camera in manual knowing that your metering was going to change every few seconds.

Cheers,

Simon.

Cheers Dave.

I think there were three Formula Renaults running in that colour scheme this weekend. Nice and photogenic, particularly in the low autumn sunshine.

Thanks Dave, appreciate your comments. I like photographing the Ginettas for that very reason. Some of the car dynamics that you can capture are excellent and really add to the pictures.

All well up your usual standard but #2 is beautiful. I spent all day trying to get a decent shot of that particular car but after a quick review last night i think i failed miserably.

Anything in particular about that car that you wanted to capture?

Cheers,

Simon.
