Congratulations on your marriage.

I do have a little question though. I thought photography was a language you didn't need words for. So you could been involved in the process of picking a photographer by looking at their work, before deciding on who to hire. No need to know Portuguese for that. When you had found a photographer who's work you liked, the rest could have been handled by your now wife, like booking, etc.

So, my question is... were you really not interested at all in your wedding? ;)

The quick answer to that is.... My misses got here a month before me and did all the organising, she viewed her work and was really happy.

I suspect if the photographs are good, it will be to your wifes credit for choosing the photographer ..... and if they are bad it will be your fault ....... I just hope they are good!

Nick, well if she's happy then perhaps you should trust her judgement. But if I were interested in photography, I would make sure I got a good photographer for one of the most important days in my life. So I would have made sure I got a say in the pick of the photographer. But hopefully it works out.

When I'm hired to shoot a wedding, I get a lot of enquiries from men, just because they happen to be into photography and that's often the only thing that they really got a say in it... the rest is the bride planning, like dress, color theme, what to eat, cake to cut, etc etc, and all that the groom has to do is shower, get dressed and show up on time. :D

Sounds like you aren't married! 1st rule of marriage: wives are never wrong

These are the kinds of things that make me want to stay single for life.

Nah. It is actually really simple. Marry for temprament. You know the attitude that a perfect pet dog has, where he's happy to see you all the time? That's temprament.

Stick to that, you'll have the best possible odds.

I have a dog like that. He's docile, meek, needy and probably has abandonment issues.

Ehhhhhh...........

Let me say, though, he does have a lot of good qualities. But, a wife like that? I donno.....

I think you should get married because you want a family. Not because you want a pet, I mean a wife...:) Or maybe you are the pet??? :)
