When it's your kid, you feel like it can belong with any clothing catalogs, especially when he can pose like this. He's 2.5 years old, will be 3 this May :-D

To be blunt/honest (i'm sure this is what you want) No, they are not ad worthy.
His expressions are not "commercial" enough - look a little uneasy in a few of the shots.

The 4th one is cute (looking away).

But his expressions take away the commercial aspect of the shot - also the PP is a bit "hot". Very brigth/harsh backlighting and the creative color tones you used just don't work IMO>

Lol.. yeah, I was just messing around. If you have kids of your own, you'd know what I mean. A snapshot taken anywhere with any camera would make it ad worthy if it was your child ;-)a

I dont really think he meant it was really professionally ad worthy, i think he meant as a parent he's just proud of taking photos of his kid that look great to him/her.
But the c/c is always helpful.

Its the holidays guys lets be nice lol

who says I celebrate the holidays? hehe j/k :)
I always hope that holidays is not a reason to be nice. We can do that all the time at anytime, then again there will be no lawyers :)
I understand as a parent to be proud of your child and please do so. heck my little girl's first year album is costing me close to $500.
These are great but imho not quite 'ad worthy' the 4th is nice except the garbage can behind him. Keep shooting, moments in time weigh much more than anything.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Yeah, I don't mean if the photos are. I meant if he was. The photos were taken in front yard and street of his grandparents home and were edited to have that "homely" vintage feel to it. Yeah, am proud parent.

Cute shots. Here's my take on these:

#1, because the lighting wasn't even the background IS a bit harsh and blown out. I like the processing on his clothes, but his expression kind of kills it, and I wish he was looking at the camera. (I know it's hard, I have 4 kids and the youngest are 3 and 2)

#2, is the weakest shot (IMHO). It looks like you processed it the same as the first shot HOWEVER with the blown out background the colors in his shirt get washed out and there doens't seem to be enough contrast to keep my eyes happy. His expression too...he looks uneasy and not genuine (like you told himto smile and he didn't want to).

#3, BEST OF THE BUNCH! I like this shot, I like PP, but the background is a little busy with the car in the drive way and what looks like a trash can. His pose is playful and this looks genuine; like you captured who he is.

#4, the background again (trash can really stands out for me) is busy and it looks like he didn't want to smile but was told to again. I don't mind that he's not looking at the camera on this one but I think it would have been a better photo if he was.

Regardless of anyone's CC on these photos you captured moments of your little guy that you'll be able to go back and see for years to come and that as a parent you'd be happy to print and put in a frame on the living room table. That's what it's about right? :-)
