White-tailed Kite w/ lunch and portrait

There are two of them in an area where I haven't seen them for over three years. Happy they're back, hope they nest Shot with my new 7D, the resolution is fantastic, but the noise is pretty harsh. I find the raw images are easier to deal with in LR3.

Wow thats a beautiful bird, #1 great capture . 800 ISO will have noise along with it.

That first one is one of the best shots I have seen of the Swallowtail Kite, good job!!

Absolutely gorgeous portrait of that kite Paul!
I do see a little noise in the bkgrd of that one but you'll figure out how to work around it. It's a minor trade off for all the other good a 7D can bring -

Yeah Steve thre is some noise, I have to say that the pic is cropped considerably. The birds are very wary.

That first one really is a beauty. With a little noise reduction it would be over the top. Excellent job.

Thats a real beauty Paul,I dont know if we have those up here but I have seen a white raptor about this size once or twice.I was thinking a Harrier but maybe it was one of these?
I guess I better tune in a little closer.
