So basically I needed a small diffuser for some off camera flash shoot but had to be small, I was looking at the Photoflex XS Softbox 12x16", but that kit sells for $100, and since this is for a single project and I didn't want to spend too much money on something i'll probably wont use often i started to look for cheaper alternatives, which led me to this nice octobox from Interfit. It's 12" so it was the size i needed and for $25 + $7.95 (for the mount which comes specific for each flashgun on the market) it was a bargain, so i bought it. It just arrived a few days ago and i gotta tell ya, its really bang for buck, small lightweight looks pretty good and materials show good quality, comes with carry case, rods octabox front diffuser and the flex mount. so here are the good and the bad: Pros: Cheap @ $38 it's a bargain Small Light Gives good decent diffusion Mount fits tight on flash (my case 580exII) Cons: No instructions, it's not so hard to put together but it is a pain, i did it in like 5 minutes, rods are tight ,did not break, comes with spares, I'D ADVISE YOU TO KEEP IT ASSEMBLED, if you're gonna try assemble it on location it can be tedious. So thats, it, just a quick review and below some photos of the octabox assembled and mounted! At $125, I thought there was a pretty nice assortment of things to play around with. Of course, nearly all of them are not very effective. It came with a small rectangular softbox that was every bit as difficult to put together. That didn't matter in the end as I found the results not worth the trouble and it now just sits in the bag it came in. Robert Wayne Photography
