$2100. They were selling used for not much less than that a few months ago. If I rent one it will be a couple of hundred bucks for a couple of weeks and if I find I'm not using it that much I can sell it at not much of a loss.

But its still two grand. And what's a few hundred if you're spending 2 grand anyway?

Blah! This is the most sucky part of photography.

Oh, and I think we need a lens-lust support group.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Ed.

You can always buy it as a xmas gift for me. That way you won't feel guilty for spending so much on yourself. ;)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Buy it. I had the same problem with the 24 TS-E but I soldiered on and came out the other end. I will be joining you in the 17 TS-E support group sometime next year....

Bummer, they were on sale at Adorama last week for $1939.

You might try the coupon code to see if it works: S5554444

Get the lens but remember, a couple hundred is always a couple hundred, no matter what other funds are or are not involved. I think it's my next lens.....or the 100LMacro....but both will be had.

Nah, can't tell you not to. That one is on my wish list.

For good reasons!

Click 'buy' -- ya know you will.

This isn't the place for that. All he wants to know is how it takes pictures.

I was wavering on this lens for quite a while. But, found the Adorama coupon and pulled the trigger. If you can get it for 1939, don't hesitate it is great lens.

An excellent, expensive lens. Ask yourself what do you need it for. I used mine for occasional architecture shots but in the end sold it as it got not as much use as it deserved. For 2000 USD you can buy another lens that you will use more than the ts-e. Do not buy anything just because there is a slightly better price for it. Be reasonable! ;-)a
