Flying out of British Columbia, Canada... a few days after getting married. And without my wife, thanks to Australian immigration laws at the time. It was another 6 months until we saw one another again due to the lengthy immigration process. Taken over the beginning of the Rocky Mountains... back in 2001.

This was taken with Canon's first Digital Elph which was released in 2000 - which was an all-metal subcompact 2.1MP camera known as the Canon PowerShot s100. They forgot that this was the coded name for the camera and later released one called the S100... under virtually the exact same name (only this time with 12.1MP) some years later in 2011 ... Which confuses many camera enthusiasts to this day. This was a wonderful camera back when it was released. Capable of only simple JPEG images and no Video. This 2x image shot (stitched together in Photoshop) was taken on the way to Vancouver at sunset, just after takeoff.

This was taken from the front seat of a DHC-6 Twin Otter short landing aircraft as I flew into Tenzing–Hillary Airport at Lukla, Nepal. The airport is perched on the side of the foothills of the Himalayas which you can see in the background. The airport is known as one of the most dangerous in the world, it sure lived up to its reputation!

Great shot! I was on board of a small aircraft some 40 years ago to see Mount Everest, flew around it and took some breath-taking shots of it that are still in analog form as slides!

Great shot (love it) and what an experience! Twin Otters are beasts and can fly pretty well anywhere and in extreme conditions.
