We obviously need an aircraft tag, in addition to camera, lens, and exif tags. :-P

Very nice photo! What kind of aircraft were you in? Was the aircraft in a turn, or were you hanging out?

Thanks for the kind words!

I was in an ERJ (Embraer Regional Jet) coming to Chigago. It was in a turn.

Chateau d'Penautiers just west of Carcassonne. From Ryanair 737. Nice restaurant there too!

Bram, a bit further west of Carcassonne. A village in the round or a 'Bastide' for defence

Looking out of the hole left when a 747 emergency escape window is removed

Not quite a window, but the emergency escape hatch in the top of the cockpit on a very dead 747

When the guys on board knew that I was working on the Britannia I was allowed to wander all around the aircraft. It was a very sad sight to see it all being ripped out.

It's arrived, engines removed and they had started stripping all the usable kit out. Then the JCBs move in and smash the rest up. That was the very 1st one, now there are probably a couple of dozen there!

That view from the cockpit roof must be a one off. Not too many passengers get up there
