FedEx guy showed up here today, parked at the bottom of the driveway. I was down there and had my two Borzoi dogs on leashes and didn't have a hand free. He got out with a box and asked if he could leave it "here" - which was in the snow at the bottom of the driveway. I told him it'd be better up near the porch, he wasn't happy.

The guy deserves getting fired - and have costs deducted from his final salary for wanton damage to property.

Viral videos sometimes work....FedEx CEO issued a personal apology and the driver is no longer delivering packages for them.

They probably bumped him up and into management.

This really gave me a bad feeling as I was still waiting for my 70-200/2.8 IS II to be delivered.

A story about this in the UK press quoted a FedEx spokesman as saying they identified the driver and it wouldn't be his best day.

Big deal. I used to work for USPS during the weeks before Xmas. Paid well. Any box that said fragile just meant handle rougher.

Ohhhh, so true.

If you ever want to succeed in the corp world, the best advice I can give you: start off really good at your job... and then just completely suck at your job. They will almost always promote you and the next thing you know, you're in charge of things, making three times what you were making and now you actually don't even work any more. You can keep doing this up to a certain point, laughing to the bank all the way. Just make sure you know at which point to stop, otherwise, you'll end up going out the door. (Don't fear though, because now you have executive experience and will be able to move to other corporations with ease.)
