Linda: That photo is just hilarious! Reminds me of my childhood when my dad would fall asleep in his recliner chair and several of us 9 kids would 'decorate' him with our toys and clothes :)
Kevan: I can always count on you to come up with the unexpected and your title was a winner. Loved it!
Lavanut: What a weird thing.....I can't figure out what it is supposed to be other than a wolf head :) I wish the fly on his nose was a little sharper but the wolf's eyes are perfect.
Carlo: That looked like some project and it looks great! Didn't quite understand the title (who's Joe?) but I am always happy to see a To-Done list :)
wimg: Yummy!!! My only beef with this is the paper scrap on the table which takes a little away from this glorious looking dessert. Great title!

And the winners.....
1st-Linda
2nd-Kevan
3rd-wimg

Thanks for coming to play during a hectic holiday season. I knew the turnout would be low because I think I won the week before Christmas last year & it was the same. I was hoping if I made it a freebie, folks would step up and use a fave shot from their archives :) Now over to you, Linda.

Hey Maureen, we're dodging family and friends dealing with nasty colds. Feel better soon. I think I'm most certain to be doomed myself. I hate winter.

Thanks for the nod. The idea of it came about while I was dealing with my sister who was facing emotional struggles with our father. We've all been there. Anyway, I was stuck in one place, my cellphone charging in a wall outlet and nothing to do but stare at the old door across from me. While dealing with the tears on the other end of the line, I got to thinking the door might be an interesting image. Weird how the eye works during certain situations.

Congrats Linda, that's a fun photo you have there.

Thanks, Kev. I took you up on the Rum & Eggnog last night and tonight to numb my misery a bit. I think it's working :)

Thanks Maureen for 1st place & for hosting! I hope the "Egg nog & Rum" medicine works....I'd go with a straight whisky or brandy myself !
My photo was taken last Christmas....not an unusual scene but first time I've managed to capture it! :)
I'll be posting up the new challenge shortly ...

Congrats to Linda, Kevan, and Wimg. Good show! I thought Linda's caption would be "Merlin and Merlot".

Thanks Maureen for hosting and judging. Topic was certainly wide-open, so I am surprised a few more people didn't get into the pool even with the holidays.

Happy New Year all.
Carlo

Congrats also Linda, Kevan, and Wimg! I just happened across the G-Series challenge and thought I'd drop in a submission.

Maureen, the wolf is one of a set of 5 they set out at work to try to keep the geese (and their poop) away from our building. The coyotes have become a running joke around the office. The really funny thing is when the geese are feeding around where the coyotes are "posted". I took this photo one day when I was out walking at lunch when I noticed the flies on its head.

Nice pix everyone! Happy Holidays as well!
