Anyone upgrade from a T1i to T2i?

If you did can you share your reasoning and if you noticed a big difference in Image Quality from one to the other.

I just played around with a 7D a bit...the sensors are similar.

I have only shot a handful of test photos and haven't been able to review them on a monitor yet. I'm not sure if the quality impresses me. The 7D offers many benefits over the TXi series, though - I would not upgrade from a T1i to a T2i, but upgrading from the T1i to the 7D is necessary for some kinds of shooting (fast movement, autofocus reliability).

The one "weakness" of the T1i, which you may have noticed, is chroma noise. But it seems that the 18mp sensor has some noise as well.

I'd wait and see what the T4i and other updated cameras will offer. Of course, the T2i will be cheaper and you'll be able to use it now...but the T1i will still work fine.
