I really do not have much need for a personal laptop but I was forced to buy one so that I can process my photos while on vacation. Well the last one I've had died and was planning on replacing it. Until I discovered that the iPad may be a good alternative.

I bought this app called Snapseed for $4.99 What do you think. Or do you think this type of processing is reserved for Facebook posting? All are done in iPad except for resize & watermark. BTW I'm just a hobbyist...

nice series of shots, as for the processing images 1 through 4 look a bit flat and washed out, #1 is nice in B&W.
The rest look good in colour.

#4 is called Vintage look but I see your point. Thanks for your input.

its a nice series mr jun, i am also viewing this with my ipad2. i think its definitely a good alternative and with all the advancement and companies developing apps for ipad, we might see a fully developed suite for photo editing. :)

... does it really matter?i see with my eyes, i shoot with my fingers.

Interesting that you did the processing on the iPad. Some look good, a few don't, but new apps need experimenting! :) Anyway, here are some of my thoughts.

#2 is a pretty good shot, but colours are muddy (try one of the other presets in Snapseed).
#4 has a green colour cast. 'Vintage' is not good here. :)
#8 is a good shot, but the blue of the sky is very harsh and needs to be toned down a bit.

I very much like the heron shot (very sharp, good colours, clarity) and the gull (very difficult to get a bird that is flying straight at you like that in focus). But the images standing out for me in this set are the flock shot (without the green colour) and the Crane shot. I think they are both really wonderful.

Good work.

Thanks for your guidance, and your feedback are duly noted & appreciated. I have to agree some of the effects may not work. But I think this application has potential for quick & dirty processing when out of town.
