How to I make sure that I am sharpening the 100% sized copy? LR only sharpens the 100% (1:1) preview display. If you are displaying the Fit or Fill previews you will not see the effect of the sharpening. LR does this in order to work faster; in 100% it is only necessary to sharpen that portion of the image that is on the screen, not the entire image. If you want to judge the appearance of the entire image after sharpening, you have to flip back to the Library mode and click Library/Preview/Render Standard sized Preview. Of course, when you execute an export whatever sharpening is indicated by the slider positions will be applied to the entire image. Elie / אלי

Noise reduction is displayed in the same way except for ISO levels that are expected to be particularly noisy (the determination is made on a per model basis) for which the NR is also applied to small previews. That isn't my experience. I can see the effects of sharpening at the fit or 1:2 view. I routine do my sharpening at views other than 100% and only do 100% when needed. In fact kelby training videos recommend sharpening at a 1:2 view for high pixel density sensors like the 7d. Jason
