This past Sunday I managed to get my fat ass out of bed at 5:45am to join up with a fellow photographer to spend the day exploring for abandoned places in the Interlake in Manitoba, Canada.

It ended up being a VERY successful day as we explored an area neither of us had explored before.

For the full article and photos see my exploration post on my site:

Please keep in mind the site is under major development and is not complete.

Here are 4 of my favourites from the day but I had many more then 4 to choose from. Hopefully you see the article for more!

The first one is distinct from all the others I think because of the eerie, sort of mysterious look that the branches portray in the foreground.

The goal is not to change your subjects, but for the subject to change the photographer.

It's always fun to find a new area. Well done, Scott; No. 2 is outstanding.

You'll be shooting ROW......Rusty, Old and Wrecky.

It's a know fact that shooting ROW increases shutter life and prevents sensor damage like hot pixels. :D I'll be doing some ROW farming myself after Christmas. Have a good trip.

I really should have explored Manitoba more when I lived in Grand Forks, ND. Went to Winnipeg once and was so confused with the different traffic signals I was scared to return...

A little off topic but the University North Dakota Fighting Sioux will be playing Clarkson at the MTS Centre, Winnipeg in January. Got tics and going to the game.
