1D3 vs 7D at ISO 6400

I currently use a pair of 7D's for photojournalism and sports assignments. I often find myself shooting at ISO 6400. I find my 7D's acceptable in noise but could always spring for higher quality images.

Ideally, a 5D2 would offer the IQ I desire but the AF is not up to par for what I shoot. A 1D4 is another option but its out of my budget.

Essentially, I'm just looking for cleaner, more useable ISO 6400 files. I don't need video capabilities on two bodies, as I rarely touch video. My largest prints are 20x30" and I'm confident a the 10mp sensor of the 1D3 can make those prints.

Thoughts?
