Bean's first few weeks

Hi there, I thought I'd share a few pics of my new daughter taken over her first month. Comments definitely welcome. I have to say, taking good pics of babies is harder than I thought it would be. The angles are especially tricky as they lie down so much! any tips?

Some lovely pics. #4 is a standout to me - perfect shot.
You think they are hard to shoot now - wait till they start moving.
There are a lot of tips out there but most important I found is to keep the model happy. Shoot in a warm room (Fan heater is warm as also gives some white noise), soft surfaces and warm light, a narrow DOF and focus on specific features (or when open - eyes should be in focus). Basically what you look to be doing!
Shoot as many pics as you can - these are the days you will never get back. I know everyone says they grow so fast - but they do. A year ago I had a model the same age as you - today he is a little Viking (into EVERYTHING).

I'm lamenting the baby times after holding a sweet baby girl last night at one of our holiday dinners. My "babies" will be 10 and 13 in just a couple of months!!

Your pictures here are beautiful. I agree, #4 is the standout and I really like the last one, just wish her hand hadn't been up by her face.
