I have a Problem... and don't know where to post this question but I took some shots for my friends dance studio and many of the photos came out tinted Yellow, does anyone know why it does this and also how I can adjust myself/camera so it doesn't do this again

My friend thought maybe it was because of the reflection off the hardwood floor, if that were to be the case then if anyone knows how I can adjust myself/camera so this doesn't happen again

If you are shooting .jpeg file format in your camera, change the white balance to the florescent white balance setting. If you shoot RAW files, (recommended) white balance can be corrected using the DPP software that came with your camera.

Thanks... I shoot raw and I kept changing the WB but it doesn't make much of a difference, and when I try to fix it in photoshop or LR it just make the photo more noisy and come areas become too cool

I was shooting in florescent most of the time

probably the recycling of the lights, they cast different colours very quickly, if you took a shot at 1/60 I'm willing to bet that you wouldn't see the yellow anymore.

(oops I just noticed that you don't have the "Editing Ok" selected on your profile. I hope you don't mind that I did so) The yellow is caused by the room lighting. I adjusted this using Adobe Camera Raw. You can also do that or as previously suggested you can adjust the white balance setting in your camera. Just don't forget to change it back when you are done shooting!

it is the lighting, try shooting in burst and you might catch the cycle better. Also, shooting at 1.4 is harsh for a group type shot, you have the shutter speed so shoot at 3.2 or so.
