Ha. Watch the video that was linked to with the second article. Who knew that Judge Joe Brown was out there shooting weddings on the weekends!?

How the heck does someone survive in this business for SEVEN YEARS when they are scamming that many people? I just feel like one undelivered disc and I'd have so many negative reviews no one would ever hire me again... how did this guy get away with not delivering to over 80 people without anyone saying anything? Seems weird.

While I have no issues with someone going to jail for fraud, even if they are a photographer, my opinion of Pop Photo just dropped even lower than it already was. I can't believe they had the audacity to mention a "reality" show episode in the same article about the NJ photographer. Now I really know why I stopped reading Pop Photo over 20 years ago...

scum.of.the.earth. this is one of the main reasons why people don't respect or are even fearful of wedding photographers.

I am curious how he survived in NJ with that many brides/families after their pictures. I know my wife was edgy waiting a few weeks and no doubt would have tracked the photographer if nothing came.

I've never heard that before, especially here on POTN. What an interesting statement.

Being a jerk for 7 years and then only being punished with 3 years... He's getting away with too much!

Sorry folks, but a bigger scammer is Kim Kardashian who did perpetrate a fraud upon the public with her fraud wedding for $15m.
What about anyone who gets married, only to divorce a few years, or even months later? If it were up to me, I would arrest most of my cousins and friends who had weddings, guests who gave gifts and money, only to see the couple split after a short while. Where are the wedding albums now? In the landfill along with last year's christmas presents.
What's the point of having wedding photos if you dont ever see any of your local friends ever again anyway? If it lasts, will you look at those shots 25 years later, and remember who your high school or college buddies were? And then what? Find 'em on Facebook? Utterly pointless.

some of my own clients have told me horror stories of their friends' wedding photos and how it's taken them a year+ or sometimes never even receiving their photos at all.. there are real jerks in this industry that give the good ones a bad name

My brothers Bar Mitzvah photos (which was 20 years ago, he's 34 now) were promised to be delivered to my parents within 60 days. They did not recieve them for 11 months!! Almost a year, She got pregnant and had the baby before the photos were recieved. No reason or excuse on the lateness was ever given, but atleast they did get them in the end.

1) I had to Google who Kim Kardashan was. I haven't had cable for over 5 years. Turns out I actually know her, just had no clue what her last name was. Weird.

2) You sound like a very bitter and unhappy person who lack a real grip on reality. I divorced my husband after less than two years of marriage. But personally, I'm not willing to waste my life on a violent alcoholic who refused to get treatment even if it meant me leaving. Sorry. Not worth it. Life is short and you only get one, I'm not wasting it if it means being unhappy. I don't think that affects you or anyone else personally in any way so I'm having a hard time seeing how that's criminal.

I see. But you are the one who divorced her husband after less than two years of marriage. Thus, you lacked a grip of who he really was, and what marriage is all about.
Ever hear of "for better or worse, till death do you part"? guess, these days it means you people give up after just 2 years.

Now, back to my question as to what do divorced people do with the wedding album and video? Do you take out shots of your ex-husband/wife, or just trash the whole thing?
