Airbus A310 Polaris Tanker

Spent the day over at 8 Wing CFB Trenton yesterday and they were doing some training with the tanker version of the CC-150 Polaris, dubbed the CC-150T. The RCAF modified 2 of its 5 Polaris a/c to perform in the air to air refuelling role, and have only recently returned from their Op Mobile duties over in the Med.

That's the MRTT conversion... Luftwaffe has a couple done with the same mod too.

such a versatile aircraft. Cargo and refueling all at once - troop carrier...Prime minister, whatever. great plane!

Yes, the ones we intend on purchasing are going to be fitted with the probe and drogue style of refuelling system. There is already money allocated for the conversion once they are purchased.

ah thank you, I hadn't read that. What I DID read was that we didn't buy enough of them...nobody accounted for destruction lol.

This is not the forum to be discussing such things. If you're interested in reading serious conversations about the F-35 and its capabilities and everything else that impacts Canada's decision to buy the platform, which I'm in favour of, then review this forum - especially the portions dealing with the Canadian acquisition.
