Just to quickly clarify, both. Shot pics for newspapers in L.A., came to N.C. to be an assistant editor of a magazine and book publisher.

Ok i stand corrected . I'm just going by what you had as an opening on your website ,

(quote):
"I have been a photographer for over 40 years. Born and raised in Southern California, I shot pictures for three Los Angeles area newspapers. But my real passion was for fine art photography. (quote) .

Yer' right.

And also for the record, telescope is long gone. You probably never heard of it, but I had a Cave Astrola newtonian. Mirror hand-ground by Tom Cave. Long ago and far away. But I would, too, like to get back into it. I never mounted a camera then. Most certainly would like to now. Biggest problem I see is what I had in L.A. way back then. The scoping is fun, but driving for hours to get away from city lights is not. It makes it too much of an ordeal.

Over the years i have heard of Tom Cave several times actually . Been along time tho .
http://www.backyardvoyager.com/Cave.html (external link) , I've been interested in astronomy since the 60s' but bought my first serious scope in 97' . Just that i had to work too much to really make it a daily hobby . But enjoyed it i have . Stayed up many a nights all night long just scopin or taking astro images or watching meteor showers . Had alot of fun and shot more than 500,000 images but very few i have ever kept but half is on film stored away . Started out with a Pentax K1000 SLR and before digital came into astronomy i got a Olympus OM-1SLR . Still have both for the passion and both still work like brand new . But haven't used them since i bought my D300 back around 93' or 94' , can't remember which . But got some good glass for the Pentax and just a 50mm for the OM-1 but it's a great camera ! Yep i still love the hobby , but i enjoy what i'm doing now even more !

Don't know if you know the person who owns backyardvoyager, but as of my viewing tonight, the site has been hacked.

If you do get hold of the owner, tell them to check and update scripts. It's possible they got in thru an outdated script.

Just purchased... how long did u guys have to wait for your email w/ the key and instructions on how to enter the key??

You'll get it pretty soon , same day i think . There will be an attachment that has the key , just copy it and paste it into the Machinery Folder under Programs>Machinery>Machinery Folder . Then restart the program but you have to turn off Windows Firewall and your AntiVirus just long enough for the key to activate the program and then restart the OS Firewall and AntiVirus . Then your set .

Impressive amount of updates/features added in short time.
I've tracked Machinery binary/download for some time.

Marek is a busy guy & actively working with Machinery.
In two weeks of time I've tracked a releaseparty of many updates.

I need to get the 64 bit version of this. I think I'm still using the 32 bit version...

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!
