Any improvement in the alignment or addition of an anti-ghosting feature in the new update?

A month ago:

"A de-ghosting algorithm will soon be implemented."

(To paraphrase a famous quote, "I guess it depends upon what the meaning of 'soon' is") :)

Machinery 2 is doing great things tonemapping some of my older single exposures. The alignment for hand shot multi exposure HDR is a bit problematic. My solution will be to use a tripod for future work until that is corrected. In the mean time, this software was money well spent. It has improved many of my older images and I am having fun. Machinery 2 has revitalized an interest in HDR for me.

...and for a mere $4000 you can buy a 5DM3 that will revitalize you even more!

Despite the focus on my comments about some of the weaker areas of Machinery, I have always said it is a good app for tonemapping single images. In addition, people report the interface is intuitive and easy to use. Oloneo does an equally good job on single images, but because of the price difference, Machinery would be a much better buy. (Thanks for getting the thread back on track.)

Stop the arguing and personal attacks. Keep your comments on the software.

Mareck,

A question about the app trial. Is it limited to image size, but lasts indefinitely, or is it limited by image size and also expires after a period of time? Thx.

It's limited by image size (1280x1280) and also expires after 45 days.

Thx for the reply. A question: can a trial be extended in time with the image size limit still active?

I ask for this reason: I prefer to wait on the purchase until the ghosting feature is added, but a user made a good suggestion. And that was to download the updates to see what's going on as various features are changed. But if it expires, that is not possible.

Also, I will assume (and hope) that when the ghosting feature is available, it will not be restricted in the trial copy so it can be tested. Correct? Thx.

Version 2.33

I made a few changes in the Details panel.
Apart from better speed, a new function was added – “Edge Detection” – which can be regulated on a 3-level scale.
