So did two HDR merges of the same images. The first one is with the latest updated version of Machinery HDR Effects The Second is with Photomatix. I must say I like the results from Machinery. The new deghosting seems to work quite well, but what I like most is the detail you can bring out of it with out the halo-ing I always seem to get with PM. You can see on the PM shot that the halos around the tree started to come out with medium amounts of detail contrast.

What are everyone everyone's thoughts? Am I processing PM wrong? It seems like PM gets this soft focus lately with the latest updates.

Machinery has always been at the top of my list. I have an older version of Photomatix and haven't bought the upgrade. I bought the upgrade for Machinery because I love the way it processes single images.
