Does anyone have any experience with clik elite packs?

I'm looking at a few of their packs and they look good on paper and photos but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on them when it comes to real world use.

Did a search here but that didn't turn up much either. So any info on them from people who have actually used them would be greatly appreciated (what you use it for, what you can fit in them, build quality, durability, comfort, ect....more photos would also be nice)

EDIT: mainly looking at the larger hiker, venture 35, and contrejour 40 (hiker may be to large for my needs)

I have the Clik Elite "Pro Sport" for short day-hikes. Like you, I spent a bit of time researching and on paper, the specs read well. I think Clik-Elite is slightly myopic, as their claim that a pro body with up to 200mm lens (ie, 70-200) will fit in the camera bay with ease. They also claim that the hydration pouch will fit a 3L bag...which is false. I have a 3L camelbak bag and I've tried multiple ways to get that into the hydration sleeve section with no luck. :(

I can tell you that my gripped 5DII with 70-200 won't fit. I was looking at buying the Large Hiker for more in-depth weekend trips, but with this experience and a total lack of ability to 'test fit' gear...I won't buy til I can!

Probably going to re-review the Lowe Pro Tekker 600 AW (external link) and a few others to see if I can find what I truly want.

I like my Pro Sport it fits my bill - my Mk IV with the 24-105 fits fine in the camera bay and I can carry my 70-100 is 2.8 or my 400 5.6 in the top bay - my camel back hydration bag fits fine it is not the biggest but serves fine - it is very well made and hikes well even when I wear my cotton carrier system too

Ok good to know its works good with the CC as that's what I use to keep the camera at the ready.

Really looking into te venture 35 as it seems the best for my needs. I want to be able to carry lots of gear (t1i, 70-200 f4 IS, 17-70, 8mm fish eye, 2x TC, extension tubes, filters extras, and tripod) and still have room for rain gear, snacks, lunch, and other hiking gear.

Right now I have an Tarmac aero 85 which works for my gear needs but without a waist belt it puts a lot of strain on my neck and shoulders on longer hikes and I can't fit a water bladder in it either.

I have not used one in the real world, but after looking at them in-person for several hours at the Moab Photography Symposium, I can say that they are very well-built and the materials and workmanship are excellent.

I don't have a need for another backpack at this time, but when I do, I'm certain I will buy one of Clik Elite's products.

I have 2 of them--Probody sport, and the Contrejour 40. They are extremely well built and comfortable for me. The company takes great backpacks and makes them into camera cariers, as opposed to many other campanies who take camera bags and add a couple straps and sell them as "backpacks"

Anyway, the Probody is much smaller than the Contrejour, and is what I use for running around town and for biking and any time I want to travel light--7D with 24-105 and a flash and 1 other lens. It has room for enough "stuff" in the top compartment, and can Attach a tripod if needed.

The Contrejour on the other hand is a Large pack. Last spring I easily carried flashes, camera and 6 lenses along with tripod, 400 watt strobe and battery pack, snowshoes extra food and water and stuff for a day of hiking and ice climbing in Vail. Probably close to 60-70 lbs of gear and it was very comfy for me. We hiked about 2 miles into the ice falls and half of that was up a steep snowy ridge. I will be skiing with this pack this season and I can't wait. It also works well for extended hiking not in the snow.

I really like the company and the bags. If you call them, you will actually talk to someone who takes pictures and knows about the bags and who who would probably want to go hiking or skiing with.

WOW, that is a ton of gear. My needs are fairly simple:

1. Waist belt to transfer the load
2. Place to hold a water bladder
3. Enough camera gear space to carry 1 body, 4 lenses (well 3 lenses then a TC and Extensions tubes), filters, 1 flash, and random extras (batteries, blower, filter wrench, micro fibers, remote, ect)
4. Enough non camera space to carry a rain jacket, down vest, snacks, lunch, and other essentials (compass, head lamp, small first aid kit, ect)

Im thinking either the contrejour 40 or the venture 35.....the Hiker seems like it might be a bit large for my needs
